recruiting 2028

no going to be a big recruiting year this year as far as numbers go. I would like to see us do a lot of scouting to get the best players we can get. I think all the needs are as follows. If I am wrong on the D side of the ball just correct it with what we need that I may have missed.

6 scholarships available:

1- QB
2- DT's
3 ATH's would like to see one of these guys have 4.2 or 4.3 speed to play HB. would also like to see another with 4.2 or 4.3 speed to play CB and be our KR for next season as we will be loosing Lewis.

i say we don't offer a scholarship to anyone under a 75 for this year

I am good with doing that. We should be able to find plenty of ATH over 75. The hard part will be finding a DT that rates that high.

I thik it may be best to go out and find our DT's and then we can look for our QB and ATH's after we have about 8 DT's that are at the least 70 or above that we can offer to in case the higher rated ones fall through for us.

Guess i looked wrong or it didn't count that transfer coming in. We only get 5 offers for next season instead of 6 so I'm thinking....

I may be willing to pass on the QB if we can find 3 awesome ATH's though. We have a Freshman that will get the start for us at QB. So, if we miss this year and pick one up next season that would be alright by me.

yeah our freshman is solid and we're set at qb for a long time. i don't mind not getting a qb unless someone blows us away (as in rating in the 80s)

Not sure why the JUCO guys are not showing up on the map. It may have to do with that scrimmage that is stuck in que from yesterday.

You guys may want to hold off until this afternoon to use you hours to see if roll-over finishes up and list the JUCO guys on the map.

i will probably check in through out the day and then if by 5 pm my time they are not listed I may hold off until tomorrow to go out and look in my area.

should we offer fritz patterson a spot? check him out, i eval'ed him a couple of times and he's at a solid 69. his fighting blocks aren't bad as well

he looks pretty solid. All of his bars are in the light green on the scouting chart. You can either go for it or hold off and we will call the crap out of him to keep him interested if you want to hold out a few days and see if you can find better.

Go take a look at all the d players we have scouted already to this point. I found a couple of ATH that rate high at CB, S, and OLB. All were in the 70's if you want them go ahead and make the offer. All you should have to do is check the offer slot and then hit update as long as they have already been called today.

Also do you know how to delete guys off the list you don't want?? if not let me know and i will let ya know how to do it.

I scouted two good looking guys out on LA. Donald Prado is a cb with 4.30 speed (4 star) and rated at a 67 for cb and 64 at safety.

Also a 5 star OLB named Sam Vigil rated at a 70 and a 73 or MLB. I didn't offer either one, but they are on the PDA.

Howler, all I want for scholarships is 2 you can have the other 3.

DS/Howler, The positions i am focusing on are RB/ATH and WR/ATH. the 2 I have offered right now would be really great additions if we can get them.

For RB do not even bother scouting them if they have 4.40 speed or higher. i want to try to get in pure speed guys of the 4.39 or better.

For WR I would like then to have 4.45 or better on their speed.

I know we may have a little trouble finding speed in that range but, it does exist. I am not that worried if they are a 5 star or 2 star guy as long as the speed is there.

Also Howler after tomorrows game lets sit down in chat and go through the list of guys we have scouted so far and go over each one to see if we want to keep them on our call list or delete them from it if you have time. if not then just give me a time and we can go through it.

Hey Howler I have a couple of ATH's up on the board who both rate in the 70's at both OLB and S. Both of them run a 4.40 40. that speed at OLB would be a big boost when in GL and having them cover receivers or just in running down those outside run plays..

sure, offer them scholarships. i've only found one must-offer DT so far

there's a 4 star athlete in PR, so i'll head over there right after the game

and can someone head over to the arizona and utah region? there are a lot of 4 star DT's in the area

hey sooner, how many times did you eval webb at OLB? reason being i don't really trust your 2nd coach's scouting stat unless he does a lot of evals

I am thinking the that transfer ATH would be great at WR. if we can get this ATH from Chicago to sign with us he would make an awesome HB WR also with his 4.33 speed. just not sure what he rates at at the WR position though. I went in looking to make him a HB with speed like that.

Charles Botwinick (cb) from San Fransisco is a 2 star rated cb who was scouted at a 67 and a 70 for safety but has 4.29 speed

i say offer him, but sooner has the final decision. he could be our PR/KR after this season

up to you Howler. yeah, he would be great as a KR/PR guy but, it's ok if you don't need him.

i've got good secondary depth, but we do need a future returner. i say go for it

I'll scout and evaluate players. You two can decide who you want and don't want. There are also a few athletes that I scouted on in Cali. That place seems to be loaded with them this year. I will be heading back there tomorrow as well

next recruiting season, when we are going to have a lot more slots to use, we really need to take advantage of that glitch where you can hit refresh and visit a recruit more than two times. i think that's the only way we can get the edge on a lot of these top recruits that everyone wants
