Looks like we got a pretty good signing class ! I really like the fact that we had some left over scholarships and we didn't just give them away to sub-par recruits. So, really good job showing some restraint and not just giving them away guys !


I would like to do that same next year. i know we will have about 30+ to offer but, lets do the same thing and only offer those guys who deserve them. I think if we can sign 16-17 guys a year it will help us be more balanced on them instead of having 2 years with 25+ and then to years with only 5-7 to offer. I think it will help us be more balanced and not have to scramble as much when those big years do hit.

Hope you guys are doing good and enjoying the downtime. It's been hectic for me lately as the prison I am at seems to be heading towards a riot. The inmate seem very much on edge lately. I hope it doesn't but, with all the inmate vs inmate stabbings and assaults on staff here in the last 2 weeks it's not looking good.

Don't think we have ever had this many guys get drafted. Baltimore seemed to love our guys. lol

i'll miss mccolgan too. probably the best CB we've had since we've been here

and lynch is a very solid rb. only thing holding him back from being great is mediocre speed

yeah, Lynch was solid as a rock though. he quietly became the big 12's all time leading rusher and finished 10th on the all-time list.

hey guys, i was just thinking that since we have 35 practices tomorrow, lets each do at least 8 practices (no seniors) and save the rest of our evals for days when we have fewer practices to go around. does anyone have a problem with that?

hey Howler I would like for us to start working on custon D's for each of the tough teams. This way we will not have to adjust our base D's and can leave those for when we play CPU and not so good teams.

For teams like Texas and Texas A&M in conference and then teams we know will be in the play-offs I would like to have their own custom D to stop each team name accordingly so we know what plays to use.

Hopefully by doing so it will help us to make the Title game this or next season.

I plan to start week 1 scouting then week 2 I will start making my plays. I figure between the 2 of us we can come up with 4-5 plays that will hopefully shut those teams down.

both the new an the old site seem to be working fine now. I have a friend at work that plays as well and he said something about when he tried to log in yesterday between 6-8 pm CST that it gave an "under maitenance" message and he was not able to log on. maybe it had something to do with that.

how are we supposed to recruit players with this new system? i can't find the link to bring up the stars on recruits

I am still using the old site to do all my stuff. I know they said they still have a lot of things to add to the new one so, I haven't bothered trying to do much in it besides look around to get familiar with it.

how do I get back home? I have flown back to OKC, clicked on the little house to get home. The Oklahoma helmet shows up, but nothing else. I can't get back to Norman.

are you on the new site or the old one ? I know this happened a lot on the old site. I have honestly not even used anything on the new site yet ( besides just going in and looking around). You should be back home no matter what come morning though. If yo need a shortcut to run practices or look at the calendar then let me know and i will post them for the old site.

hey guys, just to let you know we will have a new coach joining us next season. The HC of Okla. State will be coming over and i will be taking my EC coach a long with his to a pro team.

This will help us out big time in getting our recruiting done as we will be able to scout all the HS all-star games except one, which I will scout that area.

The only thing we will really need to focus on will be getting the athletes from each region scouted in all the main positions (RB, WR, OLB, MLB, CB, and S) that way I can see who to offer.

i will be changing up how we offer as well. What I am wanting to do is sign one guy at each position (except K, and P) every year. This will give us 14 guys to sign each year and allow us to redshirt every single freshman and not have to worry about not having a good back up to take over the next season. (I honestly can't believe any of us didn't think of doing that sooner. lol ).

So we will need to make sure that we all get our scouting done quickly so we can get them into the speadsheet and I can see who to offer.

Sorry, I over slept to be honest. I got home 2 hours late from work and I had my alarm set for 1 pm to get up in time. I never heard it though.. I will probably stay up and sleep after the Texas game so I don't miss it. lol
